Dog-friendly Restaurants in the Phoenix Area
It has been a passion of mine to seek out new and interesting restaurants. I have lived in Phoenix, AZ for more then twenty years and am very familiar with the area. There certainly are a lot of great places to eat out at in the area in and around Phoenix, and I have tried many of them. Since I also enjoy hiking and outdoor activities with my two dogs, I am always looking for a place that allows dogs on their patio.
In this article, I would like to share some of my favorite dog-friendly restaurants. For each I will give a short description and hope that you will find the information helpful. I have personally been to each restaurant with my dogs, but please be sure to call ahead and verify the place is still allowing pets on their patio.
Casey Moore's Oyster House
One of my all time favorite patio restaurants in the Valley of the Sun is Casey Moore's Oyster House in downtown Tempe. The place offers a wonderful mix of sandwiches and burgers, as well as seafood specials and of course Oysters. Sundays are $1 Oyster days! There is also a great selection of beers on tap.
Expect to see many ASU students on the patio. A lot of patrons bring their dogs and there is also the patio cat.

The Farm at South Mountain
Beautiful place on an old Pecan Farm. This place is a definite jewel and actually offers 3 different restaurants on site. Please be advised that only two of them are dog-friendly.
For breakfast, try the Morning Glory Cafe and for lunch visit The Farm Kitchen.
The Farm at South Mountain offers locally grown fruits and vegetables and has the most delicious fresh baked goods. Sandwiches and salads are unique and very tasty.
After your meal, take the time for a stroll on property. There is a huge lawn area, shaded by large pecan trees and a market stand, where you can purchase some of the vegetables and fruits grown on site. There is also a very nice Art shop in the very back.

O.H.S.O. Brewery
Great place for beer and food. In addition to brewing beer, they also make dog biscuits, which they offer for FREE to the guests. My two dogs love them!
There are two locations for O.H.S.O. in the Valley
Scottsdale Distillery and Arcadia Brewery. They offer great Happy Hour specials during the week until 6pm and have Weekend Beer Brunches with over 40 beers on tap.
